Why does Free Fire freeze on PC?
Free Fire was originally developed for mobile and adapted for PC via emulator. This means the game runs differently from a native PC game, using extra translation layers that overload CPU and RAM on unoptimized systems.
- Overloaded CPU: Free Fire uses a lot of CPU, especially in emulators like BlueStacks and LDPlayer
- Fragmented RAM: with little free RAM, Windows constantly swaps to disk — this causes the infamous "stuttering"
- Background processes: Discord, browsers, and automatic updates compete directly with the game
- Outdated GPU driver: older versions may not have optimizations for Android emulators
Free Fire/emulator settings for more FPS
In the emulator (BlueStacks / LDPlayer)
- CPU cores: set to half of your processor's cores (e.g., i5 with 6 cores → use 3 for the emulator)
- Emulator RAM: minimum 3GB (4GB if possible)
- Rendering: DirectX or OpenGL — test both and see which gives more FPS
- Emulator FPS: 60 FPS is enough, don't force more than that
- Resolution: 1280x720 for more modest PCs

Free up RAM before opening the game
Before opening the emulator, close everything unnecessary: browser, Discord, Spotify. Free RAM = less swap = fewer freezes.
High performance power plan
Windows' "Balanced" plan reduces CPU frequency when it appears idle. For Android emulators, the CPU can never "hesitate" — enable the High Performance plan.
Disable Xbox Game Bar
The Game Bar tries to integrate with any fullscreen process, including emulators. Disable it completely to avoid interference.

High priority for the emulator
In Task Manager, with the emulator open, set priority to "High" for the emulator process (HD-Player.exe, LDPlayer.exe, etc.).
