Anyone moving from phone to emulator runs into the same problem: aim never feels right. Either it is too heavy and you cannot track the enemy, or too loose and you fly past them.
The cause is usually the same, and almost nobody explains it: on emulator there are two sensitivity controls stacking, not one. Adjusting only one means fighting the other.
The two controls that stack
On a phone there is only one: the game's sensitivity.
On emulator there are two:
- Free Fire's own sensitivity, inside the game
- Your mouse DPI and the emulator's conversion, which translates mouse movement into a touch on screen
The two multiply. Raise in-game sensitivity while your mouse is already at high DPI and the result is uncontrollable aim — and the natural response is to lower the in-game value, which throws everything off again.
The method that works: one at a time
The reliable approach is to neutralise one side and calibrate with the other, so you are not chasing two numbers at once.
1. Set mouse DPI and never touch it again
Pick a value and leave it fixed. 1000 DPI is the most common starting point and works well for most people.
From here, that number does not change. It is your ruler.
2. Lower the in-game sensitivity
Drop Free Fire's sensitivity substantially. The idea is to take that control out of the equation so you can calibrate with the emulator.
Very high in-game sensitivity is what causes that "jumpy" aim — you move a little and the view swings a lot.
3. Calibrate in the emulator
Now adjust sensitivity in the emulator settings, testing in small steps.
Some emulators offer display DPI options — values like 160, 240 or 320 — that change mouse response speed inside the game. Worth testing which suits you.
4. Test while moving, not standing still
Classic mistake: calibrating while aiming at a wall. Sensitivity that feels good standing still is not sensitivity that works in a fight.

Test in training tracking a moving target, and above all doing the movement you use most — if you fight close, calibrate on short tracking; if you play at range, on fine adjustment.
Free Fire's sensitivity types
The game splits sensitivity into several categories, and changing them all at once is why people never find the sweet spot.
General is the most important to start with: it controls camera movement speed and influences aim without precision scoping. Calibrate that one first.
Once General feels right, adjust the others one at a time, testing between each change. Changing everything at once and disliking the result leaves you with no idea what to revert.
Minimum graphics helps your aim
It seems unrelated, but there are two connections.
Fewer elements on screen — no shadows, no dense foliage — makes enemies easier to see and track. That is why competitive players run minimum, not just for FPS.
More FPS makes aim more responsive. Every frame is an update of the enemy's position. At low FPS you are aiming at stale information, and no sensitivity value fixes that.
If your emulator is delivering poor FPS, fixing that improves your aim more than any number adjustment.
What hurts aim and is not sensitivity
Before adjusting numbers further, rule these out:
- Low or unstable FPS — aim responds poorly and sensitivity gets the blame
- Mouse acceleration enabled in Windows — makes the same movement produce different results depending on speed, which blocks any muscle memory
- A poor mouse surface — a skipping sensor feels like wrong sensitivity
- High ping — your aim is correct, the information just arrives late
That second item deserves special attention: with acceleration on, you will never find a good number, because the number changes on its own depending on how fast you move.
