You touch the screen to shoot and the shot comes out a beat later. It is not your hand — and most of the time it is not your internet either.
Touch delay has its own causes, and nearly all of them sit on the device side.
First: separate it from ping
This distinction solves half the cases, and the test takes one match.
- Touch delay is constant. It happens identically in solo training, with nobody online
- High ping varies. It worsens at certain hours and disappears when the connection improves
The test: go into training and shoot a wall. If the delay is there too, it is the device — the server has nothing to do with a shot in training.
Cause number one: low FPS
This is the connection almost nobody makes, and it is the biggest of all.
Every frame is an opportunity to show the result of your tap. At 30 frames per second, the next frame takes 33 milliseconds to arrive. At 60, it takes 16.
In other words: just waiting for the screen to update costs you double at 30. Before anything else, that is what to attack.
That is why enabling the high FPS option in game — even trading texture quality for it — usually feels like "the game got more responsive", not just smoother.
Temperature
If the delay appears after a while rather than from the start, this is it.
A hot device reduces its own speed to protect itself. Less speed means fewer frames, and fewer frames mean more delay — the same chain as the previous item.
The sign: the first matches respond well, the third feels heavy, and the phone is warm in your hand.
Taking the case off and not playing while charging help more than they seem.

Screen refresh rate
A device with a high refresh screen is sometimes set to the standard mode to save battery.
Worth checking in your system display settings. Free gain, and many people have never looked.
And worth knowing: a 120 Hz screen does not help if the game is delivering 30 frames. The two have to move together.
Battery saver mode
It reduces processor speed on purpose. In a competitive game, that shows up directly as commands taking their time.
Many devices enable it automatically when the battery drops below a level — which explains the game getting worse late in a session without you changing anything.
Screen protector and a dirty screen
This one is underrated and entirely physical.
A thick, badly applied or bubbled screen protector interferes with touch detection. A greasy screen does too — the sensor reads worse.
If the delay only happens in certain screen areas, that is the suspect. Worth cleaning it and testing without the protector.
Background apps
Each one consumes processing that would be missed. And worth repeating: minimising is not closing.

- Test in training — separates device from internet
- Enable high FPS in game, even trading texture quality
- Turn off battery saver
- Check screen refresh rate in system settings
- Properly close apps
- No case, not charging, if it worsens through the session
- Clean the screen and evaluate the protector
Note that no step involves touching your internet — because in most cases it is not the culprit.
