This page shows exactly what happens in the session: what we measure first, the eight layers we tune by hand, what we never do, and how long it takes. No vague promises.

Before touching anything

First we measure. Then we tune.

No tweak starts without a number on screen. The diagnosis reveals where your PC’s bottleneck is — which is almost never where people assume. If DPC latency does not mean anything to you yet, understand what DPC latency is first.

DPC and ISR latency

LatencyMon running while you play. It shows which driver is causing the spikes that turn into micro-stutter.

Average FPS and 1% low

Measured with MSI Afterburner and CapFrameX, in your game at your resolution. The 1% low is the number behind the mid-match hitch — that is what we chase.

GPU, CPU usage and temperature

A GPU at 55% with low FPS means something is holding it back. It is common, and a sign the gain will be large.

The eight layers we tune

Each one is done by hand, on your hardware, with you watching the screen. What changes from one PC to another is the dose — the method is this. The effect changes per game: see what the optimization does in CS2 or browse the blog guides.

Windows kernel and scheduler

This is Windows deciding which process gets the CPU and when. Out of the box, it treats your game like any other program.

  • MMCSS (Multimedia Class Scheduler) profiles for the Games, Audio and DisplayPostProcessing tasks: priority, GPU Priority and Scheduling Category
  • Win32PrioritySeparation in three profiles — less input lag, balanced, or maximum FPS — chosen per game and use
  • Video driver thread priority (nvlddmkm on NVIDIA, amdkmdap on AMD)
  • System timer and thread quantum reviewed for the hardware

DPC latency and interrupts (IRQ)

DPC spikes do not show in average FPS, but they are the cause of the micro-stutter you feel and cannot explain.

  • Identifying, with LatencyMon, the driver generating the spikes
  • MSI mode (Message Signaled Interrupts) enabled or disabled per device — depends on the hardware, not a fixed rule
  • IRQ affinity: network card, GPU and audio spread across cores so they stop fighting for the same one
  • HPET reviewed based on how the machine behaves

GPU and drivers

Video drivers ship with telemetry, containers and power saving that steal from the game.

  • Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling (HAGS) set per card and game
  • GPU power mode locked to maximum performance; ULPS disabled on AMD where applicable
  • Shader cache, pre-rendered frames and low latency mode adjusted
  • Auxiliary driver components running in the background removed

Network

20 ms ping with a delayed feel: the problem is usually the Windows TCP/IP stack, not your ISP.

  • Nagle’s algorithm disabled for games (TcpAckFrequency, TCPNoDelay)
  • Network Throttling Index — Windows’ artificial bandwidth limiter — removed
  • NIC offloads (LSO and similar) reviewed: some add latency
  • QoS to prioritize the game’s packets

CPU and power

"High performance" in the power plan is surface level. The parameters that matter are hidden.

  • Granular power plan: idle, boost mode, maximum processor throttle
  • Core parking disabled where it hurts single-threaded games
  • C-States reviewed for their latency impact
  • Guidance to enable XMP/EXPO in BIOS if memory is running at stock frequency

Windows registry

Dozens of keys control priority, memory and background recording. None has a button in the UI.

  • GameDVR and Game Bar fully disabled — background recording is one of the biggest FPS thieves
  • Telemetry and data collection (DiagTrack, DataCollection, AppCompat) disabled
  • Memory management: LargeSystemCache, paging executive, hibernation
  • Visual effects and interface delays zeroed

Services and cleanup

A service with no purpose on a gaming PC still wakes up, reads disk and takes CPU.

  • Services disabled with judgment — biometrics, error reporting, event collector, compatibility assistant, offline maps, graphics performance monitor
  • Manufacturer bloatware removed
  • Browser, font and icon caches, Windows logs, error reports and shadow copies cleaned
  • Lean startup

Input and display

The path from click to pixel has several stages. Each one charges milliseconds.

  • Mouse acceleration disabled; keyboard response tuned
  • Mouse polling rate validated, and checked that the driver adds no latency
  • Raw input ensured so the game reads straight from the hardware
  • Monitor confirmed at its maximum refresh rate — it is common to find it at 60 Hz without the owner knowing
What we do not do

Four things you will not see here

No "optimizer" installed

There is no UPBOOST program running afterward. Nothing to uninstall.

No generic tweak pack

We do not apply the same .reg to every PC. Each adjustment is decided by looking at your machine.

Nothing that conflicts with anti-cheat

Vanguard, Easy Anti-Cheat and BattlEye have rules. We know and respect them — Valorant players are served normally.

Nothing irreversible

Every tweak block has its revert file. If a behavior bothers you, it goes back in one click.

After

We measure again, in front of you

The same numbers as the start: average FPS, 1% low, DPC. You compare on screen before the call ends. The gain is what you saw, not what an ad promises — and it varies per machine, because it depends on the hardware and the state Windows was in. That is why optimizing the PC is not the same as using a ping reducer.

Duration

How long it takes

Between 1 and 3 hours, all in one session. If someone promises the same in twenty minutes, they are applying a ready-made pack — what we do does not fit in that time. The remaining questions about the session are in the FAQ, and if the question is still whether paying for this is worth it, we answer that there — including when it is not.

How long is the session?
Between 1 and 3 hours, depending on the package — more parameters, more time. All in one session, same day.
Is this a program I download?
No. It is a technician working live inside your PC over remote access, with you watching the screen. No software stays installed afterward.
How do I know it worked?
By the numbers measured before and after, in front of you, with MSI Afterburner, CapFrameX and LatencyMon: average FPS, 1% low and DPC latency. You compare on screen before ending.
Does it work with Valorant, EAC and BattlEye?
Yes. Each anti-cheat has restrictions and we know them all. We only apply what is compatible; Valorant players are served without issue.
Do I need to format first?
No. The work is done on your current Windows. If you ever format, the tweaks go away — which is why we recommend a system backup after the session.
What if a tweak bothers me?
Every block has a revert file. And within the 15-day guarantee we review at no cost.
Does it work on laptops?
Yes, and there is a dedicated package with thermal limit and power management tuning, which is what holds laptops back the most.
How much FPS will I gain?
It depends on the hardware and the state of Windows. The honest number is the one you will see measured on your machine. Real cases range from 30% to over 200% — and the 1% low usually improves more than the average.
