PC optimization does not get you banned. Here is why.
Anti-cheats watch the game: its process, memory, files and the drivers loaded. UPBOOST works in Windows, outside the game, with tools from Microsoft and the hardware makers. Nothing we do is on the list of what an anti-cheat looks for.
Four things that get you banned
Injection into the game process
A DLL, an unsigned overlay or an "FPS unlocker" loaded inside the game.
Reading and writing game memory
That is how aimbots and wallhacks work. Any program doing it is a target.
Modified game files
Swapped textures, a patched executable, config files outside what the game accepts.
Suspicious kernel drivers
Unsigned drivers, known vulnerable drivers or Windows in test mode. On Windows 11, Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 turned off also block some of them.
What UPBOOST does and does not do
We do (each with a rollback file)
- Power plan and CPU states
- Windows services and scheduled tasks
- Official graphics driver, clean install
- Network stack: DNS, TCP, adapter interrupts
- Timer resolution and MSI mode
- NVIDIA/AMD panel and graphics through the game’s own menu
- Startup and background programs
We do not
- Inject a DLL or change any game file
- Install unsigned drivers or turn on test mode
- Turn off Secure Boot or TPM
- Turn off Memory Integrity by script. If the client asks, it is done by hand, with the risk explained. With Vanguard on the machine, no: Valorant will not launch without it.
- Leave any UPBOOST program running afterwards
- Apply a generic .reg bundle
Game by game, what stays as it is
| Anti-cheat | Games | Level | What the session respects |
|---|---|---|---|
| Riot Vanguard | Valorant, League of Legends | Kernel | Requires Secure Boot, TPM 2.0 and the vulnerable driver blocklist on Windows 11. They stay as they are. |
| Easy Anti-Cheat | Fortnite, Rust, Dead by Daylight, Elden Ring | Kernel | Blocks unsigned drivers and test mode. We use neither. |
| BattlEye | Rainbow Six Siege, PUBG, Escape from Tarkov, GTA Online, Fortnite | Kernel | Same rule: nothing injected, nothing unsigned. |
| Ricochet | Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops | Kernel | Asks for Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 on Windows 11. They stay on. |
| FACEIT AC | CS2 in FACEIT leagues | Kernel | Asks for TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot on Windows 11. They stay on. |
| VAC | CS2, Dota 2 | User mode | Watches the game process. The session never touches it. |
| Hyperion | Roblox | User mode | Blocks injection into the client. We inject nothing. |
| Cfx.re | FiveM, RedM | In-house | Watches the client and the mods loaded. Windows tuning is not part of that. |

Before the session, tell us what you play
If Valorant, Call of Duty or FACEIT is on the machine, the technician keeps Secure Boot, TPM and Memory Integrity on and picks only compatible tweaks. The gain comes from the rest of Windows, which is where the time is lost. The session, layer by layer, is described in how it works.
Questions about bans
Can the optimization get me banned?
There is nothing to detect. Bans come from cheats, injection into the game, memory reads and modified files, and none of that is part of the service. The session changes Windows with Microsoft and vendor tools, and every change has a rollback.
Do you turn off VBS or Memory Integrity for more FPS?
Not by default and never by script: it is a Windows protection. If the client asks, the technician does it by hand and explains the risk. With Vanguard installed we do not, because Valorant requires the vulnerable driver blocklist on Windows 11.
Can a tweak tool I downloaded get me banned?
The risk is in unsigned drivers, test mode and injection into the game. A tool that asks you to turn off Secure Boot or driver signing to work is asking for exactly what the anti-cheat blocks.
What about after an anti-cheat update?
Vanguard and Ricochet updates have started requiring Secure Boot and TPM on machines that shipped with them off. That is a BIOS setting, not the optimization, and support helps you turn it on.
